Sample only: a fictional child, not a real assessment

Sample report

This is what a written Happiano report looks like: what we saw, where each skill stands, what changed with coaching, and what we would train first. Every real report is written for the individual child.

What we observed

Ivy read the passage clearly and kept going without stopping, which is a strong base for a festival piece. Her voice stayed at one level, though, and she held back when asked to show feeling with her face and body. After five minutes of coaching on expression, she was already changing her tone on key words.

Skills profile

  • Pronunciation & Clarity

    Secure

Kept word endings and said the th- and r- sounds correctly in every line of the passage.

  • Fluency & Rhythm

    Developing

Kept going without restarting, but rushed the last two lines and did not pause at commas.

  • Expression & Interpretation

    Emerging

Read every line in the same tone; copied “happy” and “sad” when the teacher showed her, but did not choose her own.

  • Voice & Projection

    Developing

Clear in a small room; volume dropped at the end of most lines.

  • Stage Presence & Confidence

    Emerging

Looked at the floor while reading; looked up twice when the teacher waited.

What five minutes of coaching changed

Expression & Interpretation: Emerging to Developing

After one tip (“say it as if you are telling a friend great news”), she raised her pitch on “can't believe” and smiled while saying it.

Strengths and what we train first

Strength

Clear, accurate pronunciation

Word endings and difficult sounds were kept in every line, so every word could be understood.

Train first

Expression & Interpretation

Reads every line in one tone; changes when shown, but not yet on her own.

Train first

Stage Presence & Confidence

Eyes stayed on the page and the floor; she looked up when given time.

How the course builds each skill

Pronunciation & Clarity
Clear word endings and tricky sounds, drilled on short tongue-twister lines.
Fluency & Rhythm
Phrasing, purposeful pauses and key-word stress.
Expression & Interpretation
The same line said three different ways, then applied to a festival piece.
Voice & Projection
Breathing, volume and pitch variety so the voice carries to the back of the hall.
Stage Presence & Confidence
Standing, eye contact, gestures and recovering calmly from a slip, in front of the class.

Next step

We would start Ivy with expression and stage presence, then build a festival piece on top of them. WhatsApp us to arrange an assessment. Festival entry itself is made through your child's school.
